Request: I am working on a project centering on the divine attributes of women.
divine: adj. of, from, or like God or a god.
This project will mainly focus around a series of essays that are written by various women. Complimenting the essays, though, will be black and white photographs of women who we know, love, and respect. And this is where you come in.Brothers and sisters, please email me a photograph of this nature. The photograph must be black and white, the person(s) in the photograph must be comfortable with you submitting their face to us, and you must be comfortable with the photograph being published.
Everything will be compiled into a book. The proceeds of that book will be donated to the Campaign to End Fistula.
Email your photograph to allisonabarnes@byu.net. Be sure to provide us with your name (you will be given credit for your artwork) as well as contact information (so we can inform you of when an opening banquet will take place). (NOTE: If you did not take the picture, please also give us the name of the photographer who did. And, if you'd like, tell us who is in the picture!) Photographs must be submitted by 12 January 2010.
I strongly believe that every woman holds qualities that make her necessary to a society. No one and nothing can take the place of a woman. Men and woman are equal, and my hope is that this fact will someday be acknowledged and embraced throughout the world.
Please spread the word about this project! The more photographs collected, the better!
