Thoughts and Plans

I feel such an amazing energy after I spend time with particular kindred spirits, like I have the last couple of days. The kind that makes me want to create new things, dream with abandon, and make impossible plans.

Yesterday on a walk in the mountains with Kylie, I spoke about how I hope to travel to Norway, Iceland, Zion National Park, Yellowstone, the Pacific Northwest, and historic church sites on the east coast. Not mentioned, but worth a mention here: Greece, Machu Picchu, Yosemite.

This afternoon while looking at artists' blogs online, I recalled a thought that pops up every few months, one of opening a creative studio somewhere-- a space with artwork on the walls, small bands stopping by to play a few evenings a week, and maybe film screenings once or twice a week. Maybe a workspace for photographers in the back, or recording equipment for bands. A place where artists can come together to collaborate and work and experiment.

But it'll be a while. For any of that. But they are nice thoughts to have.

In the meantime, I will enjoy little things like good meals and intimate conversations, and wait for the rest to fall into place.
